How to Install Quick Heal Antivirus
by Gabriele Sturmer
Quick
Heal Antivirus works with Windows 2000 and later and offers protection
from viruses and spyware. It features a technology called DNAScan that
helps protect your computer from new and unknown viruses. In addition,
it monitors your emails, instant messages, program files and data on USB
hard drives and features a built-in firewall to protect your network.
Quick Heal comes in both electronic download and physical CD versions
that you can purchase from its website.
1 Insert
the Quick Heal Antivirus CD. Click "Start" and "Computer" if the CD
does not load the install wizard automatically. Double-click your CD
drive and double-click "Autorun.exe" to manually start the installation
wizard. If you purchased the electronic version instead of the CD,
double-click the downloaded installation file to begin.
2 Click
"Install Quick Heal Antivirus Pro" on the wizard to start installing
the program and to run a preinstall virus scan. If the preinstall scan
finds any viruses, it configures its boot time scanner to clean your
computer at the next restart. Restart the installation wizard after your
computer reboots to continue with the installation if the boot time
scanner has to run.
3 Select
the check boxes next to "Submit suspicious files" and "Submit
statistics" if desired and select the check box next to "I Agree" to
accept the licensing agreement. Accept the default location to store
your program files or click "Browse" to manually select a new
installation folder. Click "Next" to install the program.
